Okay back to my first visit with Blanca when I first sat in her chair I was nervous because she was an older lady so my assumption was that she was also going to rush through my services and that she may not be as up-to-date on current trends but I soon found out that my first impression was completely wrong. She spent so much time trying to understand the look I was wanting and then explained to me how she was going to achieve that during the consultation. I will say the most remarkable thing about her to me is her attention to detail and the fact that she seems to be a perfectionist about her craft and its outcome, just as I am. She seemed to genuinely care that every strand be perfect and insisted on taking the time to allow my hair extra time to process continually checking on it to make sure that there was no damage occurring. I could go on and on about her professionalism and attention to detail. She is the perfect stylist for me one example is that I do not usually like to talk during hair appointments because I take that time to get caught up on my to-do list and scheduling, checking messages, emailing, and basically just browsing on my phone. I feel some Stylist previously were offended or aggravated that I chose not to talk much during the process. But Blanca is so concerned about achieving the best results and giving her 100% effort that she also doesn't like to talk very much so that she can concentrate on my hair. I know this is a long review but I felt so compelled because everything about her has far exceeded my expectations and I don't want others making the same wrong assumptions that I made at first. I will always have my hair done by Mrs. Blanca because it is hard to find people that take their job/craft seriously and goes out of her way to make that person's hair look amazing! If you are eccentric and picky about your hair as I am then you will not go wrong by scheduling an appointment with her. Her full attention will be on you the entire time
I went in on a Friday for a shampoo and cut, said they were busy so made an appt for Sunday at 12:30, showed up for appt and there was only one girl working and she said my name was not in the computer for an appt, so I went to Hair Plus, they took me in as a walk-in and got a better cut than I had ever got from J C Penney and cheaper too. Will never go back to J C Penney salon again.
My stylist was Blanca( older petite lady with foreign accent) and this was my 3rd visit having Blanca highlighting/cutting my hair so I felt compelled to write a raving review on her outstanding services. Here's some background info my hair is very high maintenance for example I usually get my roots touched up and two colors added for dimension every 4 weeks. My normal stylist that did my hair for 2 years went on maternity leave and eventually became a stay-at-home mom so before coming to see Blanca I had went through 3 stylist( Ulta beauty- Turkey Creek, Ulta Beauty -Papermill, and Bebe salon) searching for a permanent stylist. I don't want to talk bad about these other salons but I will say that my hair ultimately became very dry, damaged, and not what I was expecting. Comparing those salons to Blanca I feel they spent very little time trying to achieve the look I requested and rushed through the services( my hair does not process bleach as quickly as most) and did not genuinely care for the integrity of my hair nor were they concerned about the damage they were inflicting.
Terrible. Brittany was the stylist. She had her hair in foil coloring it while cutting my hair. She had difficulty carrying on a conversation, reeked of alcohol, my hair is uneven, and possibly used dull scissors. It felt like my hair was being pulled out when she was thinning it.
Horrible inexperienced. Don't book with the young girls!!!
